We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President – Regulation Management CoE

Business: Risk and Compliance

Principal responsibilities 

  • The role holder will attend governance forums as required including working groups for State of Compliance (global and principal subsidiary level), Target End State/Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Value Stream Working Groups, and Regulation Management Global Risk Steward Working Group.
  • Designing the target end state regulation management vision to deliver a transparent, integrated, and traceable view of regulatory obligations to policies and controls.
  • Taking a holistic approach to data and systems ensuring that outputs can be seamlessly integrated into the wider Regulation and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) ecosystem and that MI and AI capabilities are fully leveraged and iterated upon
  • Working collaboratively with Transformation, IT, Architecture, and other delivery partners to deliver the TES vision, capabilities, and solutions. Defining roles and responsibilities across the 3 lines of defense for regulation management in the target end state
  • Engagement on the TES design with a wide range of stakeholders across the 3 lines of defense and with ERM, RegEx and other senior stakeholders. TES Reporting and Governance.
  • Defining appropriate business outcomes and key results for the TES capabilities. Subject matter expert engagement with regions, countries, business lines, functional areas, risk stewards on implementation of TES capabilities.
  • Ongoing engagement with regions to provide group SME support on SoC. Review, challenge and socialization of significant rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Defining and agreeing roles and responsibilities for SoC across the 3LoD and global/entity responsibilities. Defining data parameters, extraction, and interpretation guidance.
  • Provision of relevant data to regions to support SoC and advise on data parameters. Oversight and challenge to entity SoC reports including consideration of relevant data.
  • Stakeholder briefings. Producing and maintaining SoC Templates and Guidance. Development and delivery of SoC guidance and communications.
Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following :

  • Bachelor/master’s degree, with at least 10 years of experience in banking, law firm, financial services consultancy, or at a regulator
  • Significant experience working in managing Banking Compliance, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance or Compliance Assurance/Audit
  • Experience in risk, regulatory compliance and governance, with knowledge of the risk management framework is required.
  • Excellent understanding of Transformation, change management and IT particularly as it relates to risk management.
  • Excellent written / drafting skills – the ability to articulate complex issues in plain, succinct English.
  • Excellent communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills, combined with strong courageous integrity to challenge, ask the right questions, be persistent, give and receive feedback positively, collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to lead change, contributing to, and joining up with the other teams in Risk and the Functions globally.
  • A highly motivated and dynamic self-starter, working collaboratively within teams, delivering on time, project management and documentation skills.
  • Strong inter-personal skills and excellent communication, dealing with senior executives.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills, ability to think laterally, good quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and high level of professional and personal integrity.
