What you will do:
The Wholesale Banking COO team is a central function that supports the growth of the business by managing risk, simplifying customer journeys, delivering the annual operating plan and implementing country strategies. You will be expected to drive operational excellence across various client processes and design associated controls for managing the evolving regulatory and risk compliance environment.
In this role you will:
• Simplification: Improve business efficiency through process design, re-design and automation. Ensure implementations are in line with group strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Client focus: Ensure that the impact on customers is fully considered in business decisions regarding changes to service, process and proposition.
• Problem-solving: Identify and resolve client issues strategically.
• Data Analysis: Ensure client data is analysed to identify opportunities and actively used in decision making.
• Outsourcing management:
1. Lead the governance framework for outsourced services for HSBC Netherlands; coordinating with senior leadership to review third-party performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
2. Liaise with internal and external third-party team to manage front to end outsourcing management process across different stages: onboarding, periodic review, performance review, and exit.
3. Liaise with accounts payable team to ensure timely payments to our third parties.

• The ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and third-party vendors, and an ability to work with others to meet project goals and role requirements.
• An all hands-on-deck mentality; you are proactive, ready to dive into any challenge, and keen to be a help for other pillars when required.
• A growth mindset: coachable, you are open to feedback and committed to improvement and continuous learning.
• Experience in outsourcing, data management, and account maintenance will be an asset.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Working knowledge of Dutch will be an advantage.
