  • The Client Information Services (CIS) team falls under the Data Asset Services Function and is an integral part of the Data & Analytics Office (DAO). The Objective of CIS is to support the DAO business in the collation and accurate representation of the Mastergroup data for the GB & CMB client base for BFCR, Finance, Wholesale Market Risk and relationship management thus enabling the business to accurately and consistently manage their client revenue reporting, credit risks, profitability etc.

The Opportunity:

  • The purpose of Client Information Services (CIS) is to maintain the Mastergroup data required by the GB and CMB Businesses to effectively manage client relationships from a commercial coverage and credit risk perspective. The CIS team owns and manages the golden source repository for all Mastergroup data through the portal called Master Group Services (MGS or also commonly referred to as the CIS portal).
  • The principal focus is to ensure data sources and processes are managed effectively to ensure data integrity. In this context, these sources and processes are those which impact the GBM or CMB or Wholesale Client Lists across countries.
  • This role is a GCB 6 role which will require the incumbent to have a detailed understanding of the end-to-end services / BAU processes, product provisions and data flows from the respective source systems into Master Group Services or CIS. 
  • Based on this context, the advertised role plays a key role in:
  • Operate as an SME of the process with end-end process knowledge in the relevant domains
  • Develop / revise / reassess data remediation metrics and procedures for effective project delivery with reduced costs and sustainable quality
  • Take effective decisions and identify resolution of complex queries including but not limited to stakeholder escalations
  • Guide and support the Management to take strategic decisions / actions
  • Enable the team to deliver expected results on set objectives via. regular monitoring, guidance, training, coaching etc.
  • Flawless implementation of new projects and / or in the expected lines of work

What you’ll do:

This role is responsible & accountable for the successful delivery of the following areas:

  • Understand complex issues and review large amounts of data to identify the appropriate action/ solution.
  • Complete ownership and end-to-end management of the Wholesale Queries which includes analysis, understanding and resolution of CME, FLHD, e-mail, e-Demand & DRR queries with subsequent remediation in relevant systems and timely closure to meet the SLAs.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams across CIS & DAO, within and outside of base location to perform core day to day activities as well as identifying, understanding & communicating, issues or challenges which may occur and where possible recommending actions to manage or resolve
  • Take responsibility for identifying, understanding and communicating product development opportunities and associated business outcomes
  • Build Business Cases and develop Terms of References / Business Requirement Documents as applicable and procure approvals from the relevant Project Managers or Sponsors
  • Execute the assigned projects / analysis as per the agreed timelines with accuracy and quality
  • Facilitate and manage regular meetings with senior managers, key stakeholders, SME's and delivery partners such as remediation / orchestrating teams
  • Contribute to team development, effectiveness and success by continuously sharing knowledge and best practices
  • Assertively challenge and manage stakeholders including Senior Managers in order to take action within the committed deadlines
  • Be responsible for publishing regular updates on projects and develop effective business MIs
  • Continuously reassess operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and the impact of new technology
  • Drive and support data quality projects / initiatives and / or statistical analysis within the wider DAO function
  • Independently deliver end-to-end results on various Projects / Initiatives
  • Assist in delivery of complicated projects under the supervision of Line Manager within agreed timelines and as per the agreed quality standards
  • Responsible for complete ownership of the assigned workstreams & escalation management / remediations
Requirements

  • 4-6 years of knowledge of client reference data (E)
  • Proficient in Data validation, analysis and research. (E)
  • Data discovery – working with data, interpretation and deriving meaningful outcome (E)
  • Proficient in Business Document creation (E)
  • Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy (E)
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving (E)
  • Basic SQL & query optimization (D)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (E)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (including Visio) (E)
  • Prioritization Methodologies - MOSCOW
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to work across organizations to understand the current data issues. (E)
  • Possess good problem solving and decision-making skills (E)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (E)
  • Excellent negotiating skills with compelling and persuasive presentations backed by logical data. (E)
  • Knowledge of systems and tools used for client onboarding e.g. ERDS, ISD, GCDU, NGT, Core Banking Systems (HUB) etc. (D)
  • Experience of working in a data function interfacing with Global Markets and/or Global Banking systems and processes will be useful (D)

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Minimum Qualification: B. Com /B.Sc / BCA / B.Tech or equivalent degree (10+2+3)
  • Master’s in finance, MCA, MBA or any additional qualification in finance or banking would be preferred.
