Here at HSBC Australia we have an exciting opportunity for Third Party Engagement Manager to join our team in Parramatta reporting into the Head of Third Party Engagement Management. In this position, you manage the relationships of vendors that sit within AUH Global Operations throughout the contract lifecycle. You will be responsible for providing effective vendor risk and supplier management to ensure that HSBC meets its operational, business and/or regulatory requirements to mitigate any regulatory breaches, civil or monetary penalties and to avoid any damage to shareholder value and reputation/brand image. In addition, you will also be responsible for driving ‘best in class’ performance through effective management of vendor Service Level Agreements and industry practices, whilst seeking out opportunities to enhance the business relationship and performance through exploring opportunities to enhance the relationship.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain vendor relationship, understand operational services, and perform supplier management activities, ensuring all risks are controlled and contractual obligations met.
  • Responsible for defining and maintaining vendor risk and control activities, ensuring appropriate governance and oversight in place with appropriate MI produced to allow effective management of supplier performance. 
  • Responsible for managing operational service performance/outages
  • Responsible for change and expense management ensuring approved projects are owned and managed
  • Partner with the Risk function to ensure Risk Management policies are fully embedded and monitored
  • Partner with key business areas who utilize similar services to ensure strong analytical capabilities are in place.
  • Ensure application of HSBC Third Party Risk Framework across all managed vendors.
  • Undertake cost management against supplier contracts, ensuring value for money is obtained for each supplier
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles
  • A good understanding of the Group’s Operational Risk Framework
  • Demonstrable experience of managing operational risk within appetite during operational change and re-organisation
  • Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment
  • Significant experience of implementing control frameworks
  • Strong influencing and negotiation


Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
