We are looking for a high calibre individual to join our Finance team as Head of Strategic Planning.
This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), responsible for being the Finance Lead on the sale transaction of HSBC Bank Malta, including implementation of new plans, and policies. In this role you will contribute to long term strategic planning, support and monitor the implementation.

In this role you will:
• Provide leadership in the sale transaction across all transaction phases from deal execution to migration. This will include:
    o Monitoring and being responsible for key post-deal migration activities
    o Identifying, managing and tracking key risks for the timing and delivery of the transaction
    o Coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders on specific functional level workstreams and post-deal migration efforts
    o Providing Finance reports and presentations in support of transactions
• Support in all aspects of accounting, financial reporting and regulatory reporting associated with transformation activity
• Represent Finance in Transaction SteerCos as well as executive governance forums
• Lead the finance function in the design of the financial operations post sale transaction as well as related risks, meeting the regulatory, tax and business requirements.
• Collaborate with the CFO in the management and implementation of the revised Finance Strategy. Serve as a business partner to the operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, business strategy and profitability.
• Work effectively with varying levels of people in Finance Function, and a wide range of stakeholders across multiple business areas and functions, providing leadership and direction where required.

• Qualified Accountant or equivalent
• Proven track record in senior finance roles, preferably in the banking industry.
• Possess strategic thinking and excellent decision-making skills with business acumen - able to translate financial data into strategic business recommendation and timely decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills – must be able to communicate effectively both internally with Group executives & Board members and externally with auditors & regulatory bodies.
• Courageous leadership - able to lead, inspire, motivate, and develop the team to deliver business performance.
• Able to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders of different seniority and geographical location.
