The responsibility of the Securities Settlements team is to ensure timely settlement of all transactions (Buy or Sell) that have been initiated by Front Office and placed by the Traders in the market. The team primarily does Equity and Bond settlements across the different global markets.


The Opportunity:

The Securities Settlement Officer has as main objective to guaranty the good execution of operations for all transactions, in full compliance with market guidelines and regulatory practices for the respective global markets where the securities are traded.

Participate in the training of the new joiners and improve efficiency and quality by sharing knowledge and proposing and implementing proper solutions. Act as a specialist in the resolution of complex issues.


What you’ll do:

  • Process checker and maker when appropriate.
  • Deals with more complex items and investigations.
  • Escalating any concerns promptly.
  • Handles escalations.
  • Transfers their knowledge and advice to other members of the team.
  • Provides timely & accurate responses to any inquiries raised by internal or external stakeholders.
  • Identifies process improvements and drives change within the team.
  • Pro-active in anticipating any issues.
  • Good working relationship with colleagues within both Onshore and Offshore Teams.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of FIM requirements, Business Partner & local procedures and Audit controls.
  • Demonstrate a positive approach to the change process, training and development


Postulación

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Knowledge of the banking industry.
  • Computer skills: MS Office.
  • Analytical skills and well organized.
  • Good communication skills, team player and client oriented.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience of Settlement Operations/Settlement life cycle is essential.
  • Knowledge of Options/Futures/Structured Products/FX settlements/Cash Management will be an added advantage.
