The Opportunity:  

The role has broad responsibilities to support surveillance daily BAU work on all aspects of surveillance for HSBC and its subsidiaries. The role will provide case analysis capability and communications with various stakeholders for different risk taxonomy and escalate any material regulatory breaches, incidents or exceptions in timely fashion. The role will also been engaged in different parts of the surveillance lifecylce, include but not limited to, surveillance system UAT, MI reporting, etc.

What you’ll do:     

• Provide support to surveillance daily BAU work on all aspects of surveillance for HSBC and its subsidiaries.
• Assist in identify regulatory risks during daily case handling.
• provide MI reporting stats to different onshore stakeholders.

What you will need to succeed in the role:       

• Solid knowledge of financial markets, financial instruments or investment products ( equities, fixed income, commodities, derivatives etc), desirable to have experience in trading, financial product control, or market risk management etc. 
• Be able to performance analysis independently and efficiently, good time management and high attention to details; Demonstrates sound and reasoned judgment at all times.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal in English, with ability to deal with a range of senior/junior staff across a number of disciplines.
• Understanding of the latest regulatory standards and market practice.
• Proficient with Excel.

What additional skills will be good to have?     

• CFA / FRM / ICA.
