In this role you will:
- Provide end-to-end administrative support to progress mortgage applications from enquiry through to settlement support (as applicable), ensuring documents are complete and correctly recorded.
- Coordinate with credit, operations and fulfilment teams to keep cases moving, reduce rework, and meet customer timelines.
- Raise and track property valuation/appraisal requests and follow up with customers/third parties for required information.
- Prepare and manage drawdown and post-approval maintenance activities (e.g., checklists, confirmations, payment date changes, principal reductions, facility amendment letters).
- Act as the key customer contact for case updates, documentation requests and timelines—escalating any advice/sales conversations to the Mortgage Specialist.
- Maintain strong controls and compliance: accurate file notes, secure document storage, confidentiality, and audit-ready records in line with relevant policies/FIM guidance.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate thought leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to represent HSBC brand qualities in a visible role.
- Show excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and confidence working with diverse stakeholders.
- Solid working knowledge of mortgage documentation and end-to-end process steps
- Strong administration and case management discipline
- Maintain confidentiality and audit-ready files; anticipate the Mortgage Specialist’s needs and refer any advice/pricing/suitability discussions to the Mortgage Specialist.
