HSBC Sri Lanka Internship Programme – Human Resources

What are the Areas?  

Human Resources

This team leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with our business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning, and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement. 

Requirements

  • Following a degree or a Professional Qualification in Human Resources.
  • Penultimate year undergraduate from a reputable local or overseas university
  • Applicants pursing professional or other qualifications must have completed at least one year of their course successfully 
  • Fresh graduates with total work experience that is less than 12 months
  • Legally permitted to work in Sri Lanka
  • Be fluent in English and have strong communication skills 
  • Knowledge in MS Office

Duration: 6 months

Location: Colombo - Sri Lanka

Over the course of six months, you’ll get to:

Collaborate across teams to deliver seamless support to clients and internal stakeholders

Develop expertise in products, client engagement, business, operations and risk management with one of the areas listed below 

Contribute to strategic initiatives as part of a larger workstream, while gaining exposure to our products, services and processes 

Participation in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to facilitate collaboration, networking and behavioral skills development, while contributing to the communities we work in

Benefit from a mix of on-the Job learning and courses offered through LinkedIn Learning, Fit for Banking modules and development pathways on Degreed

Enjoy many networking and learning opportunities, with speaker panels, insight sessions that explain key business areas and the career paths they offer

Plenty of other opportunities to develop your technical and non-technical skills, and people to support you along the way, ensuring that you're well prepared for the future
