Here at HSBC Australia, we have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Business Decision Support advisor to join us at Barangaroo, to provide dedicated advisory services to Wholesale Business stakeholders, influencing the business strategy and shaping the forward-looking outlook for HSBC Australia.


Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the business equity story, including deployment of capital decisions, resource optimization and investment appraisal.
  • Tracking existing strategic initiatives, investment opportunities and future business priorities, driving returns.
  • Leading AOP, Stress Testing and Forecast assumption process with the business and providing Finance perspective on the results in key governance forums.
  • Critically analysing business performance to define options which meet the strategic priorities.
  • Using data, reporting and insight to develop benefit cases and impact assessments.
  • Facilitating business reviews and tracking resulting business actions to completion, setting and communicating process governance and cycle timelines, defining key milestones.
  • Maintain growth mind-set and support team development including latest technology development.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience developing others.
  • Strong data driven decision making – a natural data driven problem solver with experience in toot cause analysis.
  • HSBC product and market knowledge with deep domain expertise.
  • Strong experience in using models, financial reporting, accounting and finance principles, regulations and policy, domestic economy impact.
  • Understanding of processes that shape business plans using external market trends, cost management, investment decisions, and financial services knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, related field, or equivalent experience highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.


Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
