We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Investment Counselling Team Head.

Principal responsibilities

• Manage a team of Investment Counsellors in the delivery of high value investment advice to clients and prospects of Global Private Bank
• Improve the content of the Investment Proposition while being aligned with the HSBC Group strategy and leveraging on our core strengths
• Partner with Relationship Managers to offer appropriate investment solutions to ultra-high and high net worth clients
• Assess client needs, developing a comprehensive investment strategy, coordinating sales and execution against that strategy
• Monitor the performance and appropriateness of the client's overall investment portfolio
• Oversee and ensure Business requirements and challenges are captured and resolved prior to future service launch
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
• Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business

Requirements

• Extensive experience in investment advisory or investment counselling, preferably in the Private Banking domain
• Strong and wide financial products expertise
• Entrepreneurship spirit, self-starter, independent with good presentation and leadership skills
• Ability to self-manage competing demands in a dynamic environment
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for details
• Team player and high achiever with a positive attitude
