We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Investment Counselling Team Head.
Principal responsibilities
- Manage a team of Investment Counsellors in the delivery of high value investment advice to clients and prospects of Global Private Bank
- Improve the content of the Investment Proposition while being aligned with the HSBC Group strategy and leveraging on our core strengths
- Partner with Relationship Managers to offer appropriate investment solutions to ultra-high and high net worth clients
- Assess client needs, developing a comprehensive investment strategy, coordinating sales and execution against that strategy
- Monitor the performance and appropriateness of the client's overall investment portfolio
- Oversee and ensure Business requirements and challenges are captured and resolved prior to future service launch
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business
Requirements
- Extensive experience in investment advisory or investment counselling, preferably in the Private Banking domain
- Strong and wide financial products expertise
- Entrepreneurship spirit, self-starter, independent with good presentation and leadership skills
- Ability to self-manage competing demands in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for details
- Team player and high achiever with a positive attitude
