We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an APAC Regional Head of Asset Management Technology.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide consultancy, support, and effective delivery of Technology services to the Asset Management businesses
  • Manage relationship with senior business stakeholders in the region
  • Attend relevant Asset Management region/market businesses’ governance committees, engaging in and managing key Technology topics
  • Support the Asset Management Hong Kong Technology Manager-In-Charge (MIC) in fulfilling the obligations mandated by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission
  • Responsible for managing direct cost, headcount, and annual planning for the Asset Management Technology team in Hong Kong and the Technology Centre resources functionally aligned
  • Provide support and oversight to the local Asset Management Technology teams in the region
  • Responsible for running and end-to-end delivery of locally owned Technology services
  • Coordinate with the Group’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) function to deliver changes in end user computing technologies (e.g. email, collaboration tools, operating system, laptop/VDI) to business users
  • Responsible for governing risk responsibly and ensuring relevant regulatory processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Collaborate with peer Technology heads to share best practices and achieve wider HSBC Group Technology goals
  • Enhance individual/team capabilities
Requirements
  • Experiences in leading technology teams to deliver changes and provide business-as-usual support in international financial institution(s)
  • Excellent understanding of investment management processes, products and relevant regulations
  • Experiences in supporting buy-side systems and services, e.g. order management, execution management, middle/back office, client reporting, data management, risk and compliance
  • Effective communication skills with local/remote teams and senior business stakeholders
  • Experiences in vendor management
  • Good understanding in matters relating to cybersecurity, technical infrastructure, technology risk and controls
