Your career opportunity
The role of Payments Operations Specialist (ISO + Processing) will include activities that involve Manual & Semi-automated Payments, Cheque Payments, Bills, etc.
The purpose is to continuously provide high quality processing service to achieve maximum customer satisfaction within the specified Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
What you’ll do
- Process (input, control, monitoring, and approval) payment orders from HSBC customers: outgoing/incoming, domestic/international, return of funds, cover matching management, etc.
- Seek authorization with branch concerning account restrictions, liquidity availabilities, signature verification, High Risk Countries, etc.
- Update the procedures/manuals – upon Team Leader / Manager request. Prepare reports on Team Leader’s request.
- Cooperate in resolving all complaints issues connected to payment activities. Escalate all technical problems or incidents in a timely manner.
- Provide practical training and support for new joiners/cross-trained staff. Provide support for other teams in Department when required.
- Active participate in initiatives which may lead to process simplification or automation.
- Act as a Team Leader back-up.
- Reply on Interface emails and requests.
- Monitor the team’s generic mailbox. Regularly monitor queues and assign team members to tasks accordingly.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Proficiency and experience in working with payment systems and technology.
- Strong commercial mindset with a customer focused approach.
- Proficient English communication skills (minimum B2 level).
- Excellent analytical and reasoning abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Outstanding organizational capabilities
- Ability to operate effectively in an international environment.
- Capacity to perform well under time pressure.
Nice to have
- Additional language skills (Hebrew would be an advantage).
