This role supports the senior staff within sector/country to deepen client relationships and improve income generation through focused business development activities. This role belongs to the securities services business lines.
In this role you will have the following accountabilities:
- Maintain and grow profitable, long-term relationships with allocated clients, which will include client-facing responsibilities. Our clients are mainly Fund managers, asset owners, management companies, financial institutions.
- Maintain and grow relationships with the investment manager C suite level, the fund board directors, and key personnel within the client proprietary and third party management companies,
- Client retention – work in tandem with product management, service delivery and the broader client management team to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and a reference-able client base.
- Attendance at client board meetings and presentation of administrator’s reporting alongside any strategic or business updates. Presenting and tracking service KPIs and client sentiment to ensure retention of key relationships. Delivery of monthly business plan reporting to the client and management company.
- Assist with the creation of detailed client plans in conjunction with client executives, EXCO, and other key stakeholders to support wider growth strategies.
- Ensure proactive management of issues across all products and jurisdictions by maintaining strong relationships with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Prioritise change management agendas with the Project Management teams in conjunction with client requirements. Drive clients’ strategic projects together with the change and project teams.
- Establish an agreed governance framework and meeting schedules to deliver strong client engagement and maintain full compliance with internal controls.
- Drive client satisfaction and ensure an overall coherent service is provided to your clients with full coordination alongside all internal stakeholders.
- Manage escalation by clients with senior stakeholders and define and execute relevant action plans.
- Ensure all internal stakeholders are fully briefed on client requirements and understand the growth agenda of the clients.
- Understand and drive client operational servicing model to ensure optimal level of automation and consistencies of services with all internal stakeholders.
- Co-construct servicing model with clients based on HSBC digital tools.
You should apply if you have:
- Strong and relevant experience of client management, business implementation/change, business development and/or senior operational leadership experience.
- Good knowledge in securities services, Fund Administration, Custody, Transfer Agency Services
- Client facing experience with excellent communication and presentation skills, including an ability to lead and manage executive-level meetings.
- Track record in owning, maintaining, and retaining client relationships across securities services products with an ability to help define and execute departmental strategy.
- Sound understanding of commercial and contractual drivers and contribution to AOP and business performance.
- Proven ability to adapt to the changing demands of the industry, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proven capacity to operate across a complex organisation collaboratively, whilst ensuring that the agreed client/HSBC agenda is effectively managed.
- Demonstrable quality track record as a team-player with the capacity to positively contribute to the current and future state account management function.
- Fully proficient in understanding the regulations that drive the securities services arena, and particularly those that govern client management.
- Sound understanding of controls, risk management (product and market) and mitigation techniques.
