We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Admin and Operational Management - INS COE_BUSINESS SME_CHINA_GZ.

Principal responsibilities

Management Reporting

  • Prepare consolidated ESG MI for Insurance to deliver insightful analysis to the business and IT, ensuring proper controls on data and ensuring a bridge between the two is linked therefore supporting business decisions. Key point of liaison within Insurance Finance teams for ESG reporting, with the ownership of technical specifications, collation of requirements, and review of IT development activities to ensure delivery meets expectation.
  • Lead the enhancement of business metrics to enable both internal and external reporting frameworks for ESG, working closely with the business to understand critical commercial drivers, setting up the processes and controls around reporting and deliver reporting with useful commercial insights.
  • Work with the technical architects and application designers to understand the data conversion requirements fully and to design the conversion procedures and applications.
  • Co-ordinate and ensure the embedding of data and analytics techniques within the key collaboration markets to support the implementation of the defined target operating model.

Transformation and Business Development:

  • Act as a single point of contact and bridge between IT and business project activities with the view of ensuring the overall business goals are suitably and consistently translated into code, via the generation of technical documentation, such as data dictionaries, worked models and illustrations with the view of supporting the overview overall IT project activities.
  • Support the implementation of ESG reporting outcomes in terms of quality and timeframe, including supporting the transitioning of the project deliverables into BAU in the future.
  • Provide recommendations for methods of improving processes, issues resolution, delivering efficiency enhancements business case development as well as support future development works as ESG reporting requirements mature.
  • Support project planning, provision of status updates for various governance meetings such as the Sustainable Investment Management Update meetings and Steering Committee, and WPB/ Group forums, and follow-up of actions as needed.
  • Analyse new data sources or business requirements, the transition of the ESG “Visualisation, Planning and Forecasting” tools into business-as-usual management information, and drive the developments to management information to provide a clear view of results and result drivers.    
Requisitos

Educational and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage delivery across multiple teams and locations, Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies.
  • Appetite to learn, investigate, adapt and challenge particularly as ESG and IFRS 17 reporting matures.
  • Interest in developing peers and sharing knowledge through collaborative learning and constructive challenge.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of working hands-on experience with data pipeline technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Informatica, Databricks.
  • Practical Experience with implementing large-scale enterprise data solutions e.g., data lake/data warehouse/data mesh.
  • Understanding of cloud computing and data technologies, including business drivers, emerging trends, and deployment options (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud).
  • Strong background in financial services with a solid understanding of Insurance, Asset Management, reporting process and controls and/or ESG reporting experience.
  • Experience in the preparation and presentation of analysis, ability to present to senior management proactively building relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated appetite to learn, investigate, and adapt, particularly in evolving areas such as ESG and IFRS17 reporting.
  • Strong and demonstratable problem-solving skills, ogical thinking, and excellent multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
