We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: Wholesale Technology

Principal responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and administration patching of middle tier applications on Unix environment is required
• Storage configuration on Unix/Linux as per group standard (preferable on RHEL 6/7)
• Install and configuration VCS as per group standard
• Experience working in on-call operational support role in a large-scale enterprise environment with high availability is required
• Strong scripting (Bash and Ansible preferred) and automation skills is required
• Strong troubleshooting skills (diagnose error messages, Java stack traces, and perform heap dump analysis) is required
• Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Conduct performance monitoring and tuning
• Provide consultancy services and technical advice on Unix/Linux project
• Conduct server hardening and compliance configuration
• Experience and comfortable working and contributing in a DevOps environment
• Expertise with architecture design, capacity planning, performance tuning, back-up and recovery of middle tier applications both on premise and in cloud (GCP)
• Provides flexible working time and advanced maintenance support for project releases and maintenance fixes.

• University graduate with degree in computer science or related discipline with minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Redhat Enterprise minimum 5 yrs (ideally RHEL v7.x or RHEL 6.x) is a must
• Veritas Foundation Suite minimum 5 yrs or Infoscale
• Veritas Cluster Server minimum 5 yrs or Infoscale
• SAN and NAS exposure on Enterprise storage arrays such as EMC VMAX, HDS or Hitachi Data Centre, IBM DS range and NetAPP’s NAS
• LVM configuration or logic volume manger
• HSM (Hardware Security Module) and related scripting are Must
• Experience and Knowledge with virtualization, containers and cloud-based Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms like GCP, K8S and docker
• Strong knowledge of Operating Systems (including Linux and Windows) and networking fundamentals are required
• Experience to customize and implement SELinux rules and to enhance Linux security
• Excellent communication skills, enterprise mind set with ability to describe complex technical scenarios in a concise manner, both verbally and written, and articulating the content depending on the audience.
• Ability to work within international environment, and across cultures, work under time and stress pressure.
• Pro-activeness, punctuality, confident and delivery focused, team player and adaptable to change
• Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service
• Good at English Oral
