Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities: 

  • Engage all GB/GFs Data Managers, COOs and CCOs within the region, and manage stakeholders in various regional functions such as Legal, Resilience, Compliance, IT and Risk.
  • Provide regular regional guidance related to data topics such as: Data Governance, Data Privacy, Business Impact Assessment.
  • Work across the Group Data services function providing input to programmes and projects as required.
  • Provide tracking about the DAO topics in different forums such as MX/LAM Data Council, Data SteerCo, TMOC, etc.
  • Lead different forums from DAO, such as Transaction Code Governance Forum, Data Quality Issue Management, Data on Cloud, Data Privacy working group
  • Provide guidance to GB/GFs Data Managers in terms of Data Governance.
  • Create appropriate Governance Data forums including minutes. 
  • Work across the Group Data services function providing input to programmes and projects as and when required.
  • Validate and analyse different data topics in collaboration with risk owner & control owners. Be able to provide challenges on commentary where needed. Be able to suggest new MIs in order to monitor activities/risks that are not covered in global.
  • Maintains and manages communication with business stakeholders, resolving conflicting stakeholder priorities
  • Check the accuracy of several MIs and registers such as: Business Impact Assessment, Transaction Code Inventory, Data Management controls, Data Privacy, Risk Taxonomy Control Library and including cross-checking of the information with different sources.
  • Excellent skill in writing, especially in English, allowing to prepare documents and presentations to Group, Board members and other IT internal Committees.
  • Good capacity in strategic analysis in order to adapt the content of a document/presentation according to the expected audience;
  • Strong leadership to keep a good and efficient relationship with IT teams members and other internal customers, while being able to provide any challenge regarding particular issues and risks;
  • Coordinate with other functions and countries at the region to deliver projects and initiatives ensuring the quality and the consistency.
  • In collaboration with other teams within IT, develop and maintain the Control owner view of the effectiveness of data framework and ensure that this view is communicated consistently to relevant risk governance meetings.
  • Maintain the taxonomy used within the operational risk framework maintain constructive relationships with Risk.
  • Develop and implement best in practice standards, and procedures to govern the execution of oversight and reporting in region.
  • Develop and maintain effective tools for capturing, escalating, analysing, and tracking Data topics.
  • Develop and maintain a capability to provide the Head of data governance with insightful analysis and prioritisation of relevant information.
  • Collaborate with FCR Assurance and internal Audit within the IT Functions to agree the Assurance Plan and adjustments to it.
  • Ensure that IT Control owner reports for the Head of Data Governance to present at relevant Governance Committees provide an accurate and balanced view of the effectiveness of the Data topics control framework and escalate material issues on a timely basis.
  • Maintain the documents of record of the Control owner.
  • Build constructive relationships with Internal Audit, Assurance, Financial Crime to produce and aligned view of risks between second and third line of defence.
  • Ensure that the Head of Data Oversight and Head of Data Governance are appropriately advised of material related to Data topics issues across the Region.
  • Leadership of resources, people, and process and change management to support customer focused on Data topics.
  • Communication plans to ensure the correct data management and to be aligned with Data strategy.
  • Creation of a monthly newsletter which includes hot data topics, relevant news, success stories, internal IT events, trainings etc.
Requisitos
  • Functional Knowledge:
    • Banking experience.
    • Strong knowledge Trusted Source Framework.
    • Strong knowledge in Data Management Framework.
    • Strong knowledge in governance process.
    • Possesses very strong management and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational, planning and management skills.
    • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing, and negotiating effectively with business managers, consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users.
    • Be delivery focused with ability to pay attention to details and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the high required levels of quality.
    • Structured approach to ensure adherence to the data architecture and management framework defined by Data and Architecture Office (DAO).
    • Internal communication experience.
    • Able to build and maintain global and local relationships.
    • Skills to build executive presentations.
    • Outstanding written / verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong hands-on capability.
    • Advanced English.
