We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head.

Business: Group Data Technology 

Principal responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining and driving the Data technology strategy across Insurance globally
  • Working closely with the business establish a set of roadmaps for build out and deployment of Data technologies
  • Responsible for leading a team of Data engineers, architects and project managers that develop and manage the Insurance data technology estate
  • Accountable for establishing an effective Data engineering practice that embeds best practice / ways of working
  • Responsible for implementing new tools, best practices in, ways of working in line with group standards to support the Data and Analytics agenda
  • Accountable for adherence to standards and controls that are relevant to Data technology
  • Accountable for career development, talent management and succession decisions across Data technology teams
  • Responsible for upskilling the Data technology organisation
Requisitos

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Science, Business Administration, Social Sciences in psychology, economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Extensive Insurance Industry experience and domain knowledge of architecture, development practices, technology standards
  • Able to understand complex business strategies and align Data technology strategy and delivery roadmaps
  • Must be a technologist, who can lead engineers, mature ways of working and promote and agile culture
  • Requires very strong abilities in critical thinking, creativity, and innovation in developing new concepts, theories, and products to address complex and strategic issues
  • Insurance domain knowledge is preferred, but not essential
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of building and motivating high performance teams
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, persuading and communication skills - applicable through multiple channels (written, spoken, workshops, presentations)
  • Excellent team leader and player, able to lead others into action, and with ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems.
  • Commercial acumen and mindset.
