We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head.

Business: Enterprise Technology

Principal responsibilities

This is an important senior GCB4 role reporting to Head of Data & Enterprise Reporting Technology, this role will take end-to-end responsibility and technical delivery leadership by collaborating with global technology team to deliver ASP and Global project delivery by closely working with regional / country business on-board relevant business cases onto our strategic global platform. This includes:

  • Deliver regulatory report automation projects as per business requirement to all Asia Pacific markets, collaborate and drive the IT service and underlying PODs to delivery in line with architecture principles.
  • Leading & inspiring the team to achieve and exceed their goals.
  • Ensuring quality processes are defined and adhered to, identification and assessment of risk.
  • Business stakeholder management.
  • Managing third party vendors and vendor service providers.

Financial:

  • Manage team delivery to an agreed budget, conduct forecast, monitoring and reconciliation in line with business expectations.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce delivery costs and refine estimation.

Customer:

  • Initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with various ASP and Global Risk, Finance and DAO business and internal IT partners.
  • Build trust and confidence with the stakeholders thru faster time to market and quality deliverables.
  • Always be customer focused and proactively work with business stakeholders, engagement and other service providers as appropriate to deliver stable and cost effective solutions that meet business needs.

Process:

  • Review and drive improvements in policies, practices and procedures on an ongoing basis with the view to creating an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Accountable for ensuring team deliverables are met within schedule, with appropriate team resource plan, risks, issues and dependencies identified and managed.
  • Risk/compliance/behaviours:
  • Ensure decisions are based on commercial acumen and risk.
  • Align and comply with appropriate process, policies and procedures.
Requisitos

Essential experience:

  • Qualification in Information Technology.
  • Experience in Information Technology, typically focused on software application development
  • 15+ years’ experience in managing and leading a medium to large size team in a technical environment.
  • Experience in a transformation program.
  • Vendor management experience and proven experience in managing outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in project/management methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile and DevOps development practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple challenging stakeholders globally with conflicting priorities.
  • A natural technologist with proven tracking record in building system and team from scratch or delivering technology solutions with functional and non-functional similarities to Risk use cases  
  • A focus on the basic tenets of sound technical design and a desire to embed architecture rigour
  • Excellent communication skill.
  • Fluent English speaker.

Desired experience:

  • Knowledge of Financial Risk management in banking or financial industry.
  • Knowledge specific to the Risk and Finance data domain, understanding of front to back customer journey.
  • Knowledge of new and emerging technologies such as GCP, Python, Spark, etc.
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikSense, etc.
  • Knowledge of HSBC policies, processes and procedures is an advantage.
