Purpose of the role

As a Mid-Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting data to help drive decision-making in the organization, playing a pivotal role in turning complex data into actionable insights. You’ll collaborate with UX researchers, designers, data analysts, product managers and technology teams to inform decisions that enhance the customer experience. Your expertise in data analysis, applied statistics, behaviour analytics, and machine learning will help drive our customer experience strategy and contribute to improve our products' overall design and functionality.

Main Activities

·         Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Collect large amounts of disorganized data and transform it into a more usable format. Analyse large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic product and service decisions. Solve business-related problems using data-driven and statistical techniques to interpret data and drive actionable recommendations.

 

·         Customer Behaviour Analytics: Have a broad command of statistics, including statistical tests and distributions.

Develop and implement methods to track, analyse, and interpret customer behaviour data from various sources. Design and run A/B tests and other experiments to assess the impact of design changes and new features. Analyse the results and guide the team on data-driven decisions.

 

·         Machine Learning & Predictive Modelling: Work with a variety of programming languages, including SAS, R, and Python. Master analytical techniques such as machine learning, deep learning, and text analytics.

Utilize advanced machine learning models to predict customer behaviour and optimize customer experiences. Apply techniques like clustering, segmentation, and NLP to enhance personalization and customer engagement.

 

·         Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with UX researchers, designers, and product managers to align data insights with product goals. Present findings to stakeholders and provide strategic recommendations for product and design improvements.

 

·         Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior data analysts across teams. Lead data-driven projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with the broader product strategy.

 

·         Reporting & Data Visualization: Develop dashboards and reports that demonstrate key customer experience metrics such as customer satisfaction, task completion rates, and engagement. Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requisitos

The role holder needs to have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

-       Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or any related field.

-       Fluency in English and Spanish. 

-       4-5 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on product analytics, customer experience or a similar area.

-       Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.

-       Strong statistical background, with experience in multivariate analysis, and predictive modeling.

-       Experience with machine learning techniques and their application to customer experience or product design.

-       Deep understanding of customer behavior analytics and experience working with customer experience research data.

-       Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.

-       Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

-       Experience working independently in data analysis projects or initiatives.

-       Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and its application to customer research.

-       Good communication skills, both verbal and visual to effectively integrate features and design plans. 

-       Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork skills to collaborate with business, IT, marketing and design professionals. 

-       Performance under pressure.
