We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of HSBCnet Interactive Channels (IT)

Principal responsibilities 
The role of the Head of HSBCnet Interactive Channels and Authentication Services is crucial in this mission. As a member of the WSIT Digital HSBCnet ExCo, reporting to the Global Head of HSBCnet, the role is designed to lead technology outcomes through people leadership, collaboration and best practices. The HSBCnet IT China team has c.279 colleagues total consisting mainly of software engineers and therefore requires delivering and integrating engineering best practices such as DevOps, customer obsession culture, continuous learning and capability uplift initiatives. Improving service resiliency for the benefit of our customers, innovation and emerging technology, platform modernisation and architecture simplification. HSBCnet Interactive Channels and Authentication Services cover a wide range of service domains including HSBCnet modern UI, Term Deposit, Alerting & Notification, Staff Entitlement, Content Management, Mobile Banking, Digital Transaction Signing, Cyber&Fraud, OTP, Authentication…etc. 
The role holder will need empower developers with world-class technology, practice, and organizational enablement. Also take the lead to evolve and deliver digital channels capabilities and digital transaction banking services, be accountable for service quality and resilience, maintain close partnership with global business stakeholders and build trust. 

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)
• Accountable executive for the deliverables and outcomes across HSBCnet Interactive Channels and Authentication Services.
• Ensure Wholesale Tech Digital top priorities are delivered across China including but not limited to engineering best practices, service resiliency, talent and wellbeing initiatives, innovation and emerging technology such as AI at scale.
• Lead global technology domains to deliver value, building high performing teams, building trust and strong partnership with business stakeholders.
• Accountable for helping the Global Head of HSBCnet to define an effective Engineering Practice that embeds best practice / ways of working and resiliency and ensure delivery and adoption across HSBCnet IT China.
• Responsible for establishing group cohesiveness across service towers within HSBCnet IT and across WSIT Digital. 
• As a Control Owner, exercise controls for operational risks via the responsibility for delivering timely remediation where control deficiencies are identified.
• Responsible for ensuring control monitoring is conducted and reported to risk owners and control procedures are validated.
• Responsible for location strategy, people agenda, reward and recognition, workforce optimization, vendor strategy and management in line with HR and Technology guidelines.
• Responsible for global/regional/local business stakeholders’ engagement and potentially regulators.
• Support Global Head of HSBCnet, Global IT Service Tower Leads of HSBCnet for recruitment of management roles in China in line with HR and Technology guidelines.
• Accountable for IJP (internal job posting) process, promotions at year end and throughout the year. Responsible for fixed pay and total compensation package, managing counter offers and exits
• Responsible for embedding job family, talent management and learning frameworks for practitioners in WSIT Digital China, in line with HR Policies & Guidance.
• Support career development, talent management and succession decisions.
• Proactively managing attrition and building a culture of recognition to increase retention across all service lines. Primary accountability for GSVs and PSLs and regular partnership and liaison with vendors on platforms and products.
• Lead the technology team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and initiatives. Drive delivery of large change programs and transformation of legacy system to modern architectures
• Oversee the development and enhancement of HSBCnet Interactive Channels & Authentication Services, ensuring they meet the needs of the business and customers.
• Managing relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring their satisfaction with the technology solutions provided.
• Identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Providing strategic advice and guidance to senior management and business executives on technology-related matters.
• Lead a customer-centred culture. Champion activities encouraging outstanding service and/or enhancing customer advocacy. 

Requisitos

• Proven record of effective management, including planning and decision-making, identifying priorities and bringing projects to successful completion in a timely manner; and maintaining a focus on high standards and quality

• Strong written communications skills – ability to clearly document the current state and recommendations
• Excellent people and leadership skills, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with key partners.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a track record of driving innovative technical solutions and continuous improvement.
• Extensive experience in building and growing a high performing diverse team.
• Deep technical and hands-on expertise across software development frameworks and/or multiple coding languages.
• Hands-on experience across multiple complex domains and technology stacks.
• Extensive experience and understanding of API technologies.
