We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Head of Innovation Banking Propositions. 

This role could be based in either Hong Kong, Singapore, London or the US. 

Role purpose

The Head of Innovation Banking Propositions will be working closely with the Global Head of Innovation Banking and will be responsible for: 

• Developing and implementing a clear strategy for value propositions tailored to the needs of Innovation Banking clients, ensuring alignment with CIB’s overall strategic objectives;   
• Incorporating insights from market research, client feedback, and competitor analysis to define propositions that address segment-specific opportunities and pain points;  
• Partnering with Banking, product, marketing, and digital teams to co-create and refine propositions, ensuring alignment across the organization;  
• Leading the design of innovative solutions that incorporate products, services, and digital tools to deliver a differentiated and compelling client experience;   
• Identifying and leveraging emerging trends, technologies relevant for the proposition; 
• Establishing external partnerships to enhance the value delivered to Innovation Banking clients;  
• Roll-out of propositions in both existing and new jurisdictions, ensuring localization to meet nuanced client needs and market conditions;  
• Defining the success metrics for propositions and establish frameworks to measure their impact on client satisfaction, segment growth, and revenue targets; 
• Continuously assessing proposition performance, using client feedback and market insights to refine and optimize offerings.  

Requirements

• A great candidate will possess a deep understanding of corporate banking, client segmentation, sectorisation and the end-to-end development of value propositions 
• They will have a proven ability to design and implement strategic offerings that address diverse client needs across multiple jurisdictions 
• The role holder will bring a strong mix of strategic thinking, client-centricity, and executional excellence, with the ability to balance big-picture vision with the details needed for successful delivery

• Strategic Vision:  Ability to identify opportunities for growth and translate them into compelling and differentiated propositions 
• Client-Centric Mindset: Deep empathy for client needs and the ability to design solutions that deliver tangible value and an exceptional experience 
• Market and Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of corporate banking products and how they can be tailored to meet the unique needs of different client segments/sectors within Innovation Banking and geographies. Experience in the innovation ecosystem is a big asset 
• Collaboration and Influence: Proved experience in working with cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders to drive alignment and outcomes 
• Analytical and Data-Driven Mindset: Skilled in using data and insights to shape propositions, measure performance, and optimize outcomes 
• Execution Focus: Results-oriented, with a track record of delivering initiatives on time and within scope   
• Design Thinking & Innovation: Apply design thinking principals to ideate and prototype innovative solutions

Role Attributes

• Experience: Broad and comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within multiple disciplines or a fast-changing discipline. Innovating Banking / ecosystem experience is a great asset for the role 
• Business / Commercial knowledge: The role requires a comprehensive understanding of how all value units / products / regions / legal entities collectively integrate, alongside a comprehensive knowledge of the industry in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of CIB 
• Leadership: Please select the relevant nature of the responsibility the role has for others: 
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex and large-scale initiatives at a global scale and ability to drive a compelling vision to motivate the direct reports and all stakeholders 
• Innovation: To what extent does the role contribute to and manage change, e.g. suggest improvements to products/processes? 
• Develops new and adapts existing processes for increased quality and efficiency whilst encouraging others to seek new ideas/solutions to day-to-day problems 
• Accountability / decision making: What level of decision-making is required of the role and on what decisions does it impact?
