We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist.
Business: WPB Technology
Principal responsibilities
- Perform database logical and physical modelling
- Provide consultancy and support on database performance tuning
- Provide consultancy and support to business
- Develop scripts and configure tools for automation
- Support and maintain High-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Participate in support roster providing out of office support for production issues
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and project managers to deliver suitable infrastructure solution which can cope with the business need
- Ensure systems comply with group infrastructure and security policies and standards
- Work closely with infrastructure domain teams to influence the practice and standard of infrastructure products
- Weekend/production support work will be required according to project release, vulnerability patching and production support roster in 24 x 7
Requisitos
- Strong technical knowledge in Oracle
- Minimum 10 years’ database experience
- Expert in Oracle RAC configuration and support
- Strong knowledge in RMAN backup and recovery
- Strong Database Performance Tuning skills
- Understanding of Linux Operating Systems
- Python/shell scripting knowledge
- Good technical design and implementation skills with proven track record of delivering large and complex projects
- Good communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationship with peer groups and users
- Hands-on experience on Mongo, SQL database is a plus
- Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional is preferable
- Working knowledge on AWS, GCP cloud technology is preferable
- Automation tool knowledge on Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet is preferable
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight schedule
