We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of 

Liquidity Manager

Role purpose:

The jobholder is responsible for supporting Liquidity Risk Management for Mexico. Self reliance and the ability to work unaided are essential to the role. The jobholder also requires a strong capacity for analysis, complemented by the ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely. In addition, is indispensable the skill to distill complex information into it’s most essential elements as well as the capacity to identify errors, a clear logic and structure thinking to be responsible of the Business as Ussual and adhoc processes for HBMX. The type of work requires initiative and drive.

Main activities: 

  • Ensure that Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) liquidity metrics reports are prepared with accuracy and completeness, reflecting a high standard of precision and consistency.
  • Conduct an in-depth analysis of PRA and local liquidity metrics, with concise and reliable explanations provided for the most significants movements.
  • Automation of liquidity metrics tools, stress testing files, and others.
  • Embedding the Intenal Liquidity Adequacy Assesment Process (ILAAP) with a proactive review and challenge the key assumptions definition.
  • Perform forecasting processes, working closely with Business Finance Lines.
  • Provide insight to Bank’s Senior Management through management information and make recommendations to support the effective management of the liquidity.
  • Maintain and develop productive relations with Finance teams and Business teams.
  • Collaborate if it’s necessary with external and internal parties (audit team, local regulator, etc).
  • Ensure compliance operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing aby issues
  • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
Requisitos
  • Knowledge of liquidity risk, macroeconomic environment and bank business.
  • Extensive experience of risk management and mitigation.
  • Wide knowledge of Financial activities and deliverables.
  • Deep understanding of finance in the banking business, mainly Asset Liquidity & Cash Management, Treasury and Risk management activities.
  • Knowledge of Liquidity.
  • Strong financial analysis skills with ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy and ability to communicate complex ideas both written and verbally at all levels of the organisation.
  • English proficiency is a must given the daily interaction with stakeholders across the HSBC Group.
  • Programming Languages knowledge (i.e. Python, R, SQL).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong ability to identify and mitigate risks and apply appropriate controls.
  • Flexibility to work in accordance with business requirements.
  • Advance English.
