We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Distribution Strategy & Governance . 

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

Strategy Development:

  • Design and execute distribution strategies to maximize the channel's sales performance, and productivity
  • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities for the channel. Collaborate with senior leadership to align channel strategies with broader business goals

Governance & Compliance:

  • Establish and enforce governance policies to ensure the channel operates within regulatory, legal, and HSBC policies and standards
  • Monitor compliance with local policies and regulations, coordinating with legal and compliance teams to address cross border risks. Conduct regular audits and reviews to detect conduct issues like mis-selling

Process Optimization, Performance Management and Reporting

  • Support the channel head in developing incentive programs and training initiatives to enhance agent productivity and engagement
  • Streamline operational processes within the channel to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience. Prepare and present reports on channel performance, market trends, and strategic outcomes to senior management

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services through the channel
  • Liaise with training teams to ensure agents are equipped with product knowledge, sales process and conduct related trainings. Build strong relationships with leaders to foster a culture of accountability and performance
Requisitos

To be successful you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Business Administration, or a related field; degree/diploma in insurance risk management will be preferred
  • Experience in distribution strategy, sales management, or channel management, preferably in insurance, or a related industry
  • Knowledge with governance, compliance, or risk management in an insurance industry
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities to influence and align diverse teams
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
