We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  SAN Storage Strategic Lead

 

In this role, you will:

  • Define and Drive block storage future strategy
  • Lead the design and implementation of SAN infrastructure solutions that meet the company’s data storage needs.
  • Assess and define SAN architecture requirements, considering performance, capacity, and scalability.
  • Select and configure SAN hardware (e.g., switches, storage arrays, fibre channel, and iSCSI protocols) based on best practices and industry standards.
  • Work with vendors to evaluate and select storage hardware and software solutions.
  • New Product/ Technology POC and decision making.
  • Observability OTEL and necessary tools for end-to-end product monitoring.
  • Oversee the implementation of SAN solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Configure and deploy SAN switches, storage arrays, and associated components.
  • Integrate SAN storage with virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and ensure compatibility with backup, disaster recovery, and archiving solutions.
  • Conduct regular capacity planning to predict future storage needs and ensure the infrastructure can scale efficiently.
  • Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting to resolve SAN-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of services.
  • Monitor SAN health and performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Design and implement backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies for SAN storage to ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure that data recovery processes are tested regularly and can be executed quickly in case of an outage or disaster.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for SAN storage, including encryption, access control, and audit logging.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal security policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, systems administrators, and application owners, to ensure storage solutions meet organizational needs.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for all storage designs, configurations, and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to other IT staff on SAN technologies and best practices.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of complex SAN-related issues.
  • Act as an escalation point for SAN storage-related incidents and service requests.
Requisitos

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in SAN Storage Strategic Lead, design, and implementation.
  • 5+ Years experience in Storage Architecture, Proficiency in Multi-Vendor Enterprise Storage products like, DELL, PURE, HPe, CISCO and Broadcom
  • Hands-on experience with SAN technologies such as Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and FCoE.
  • Experience with leading storage vendors (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM) and technologies (e.g., block storage, object storage, and NAS).
  • Solid understanding of data protection and disaster recovery practices for SAN environments.
  • Proficient in storage virtualization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IP networking, VLANs, and storage protocols (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data management tools, including backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Expertise in using SAN management tools and monitoring software (e.g., Dell EMC Unisphere, NetApp Cloud Insight)
  • Knowledge of cloud storage integration and hybrid cloud architectures.
