What you will do:
- You will provide legal advice, guidance and support to HSBC’s Commercial Banking (CMB) business and specifically to the Global Trade Solutions (GTS) business, with a particular focus on matters arising in France and, when required, HSBC Continental Europe’s branches, including matters that may be complex or may have some impact
- You will be considered a trusted adviser to the business by ensuring that commercially sensitive, pragmatic and practical legal support and advice is provided to CMB and the GTS businesses
- You will provide support and guidance to CMB and the GTS businesses regarding legal risks arising in jobholder’s area of expertise
In this role you will:
- Be able to adapt work style to meet complex and varied workloads
- Be able to think independently and to prioritize workloads in terms of legal risk and commercial consideration
- Deepen knowledge of areas of specialty
- Enhance relationship with higher levels of management inspiring confidence of customers/stakeholders
- Work in coordination with other HSBC legal departments in France and around the world and support the Group's lawyers in your area of expertise
Requisitos
You should apply if you have:
- A qualification in French banking law and trade finance law
- A comprehensive knowledge and experience of English banking and trade finance law and transactions as well as the ability to communicate and work in the English language (written and spoken) - this is essential
- A working knowledge of the laws in the major jurisdictions in which HSBC Continental Europe operates - this would be advantageous
- Communication and inter-personal skills
