We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer
Business: Wholesale Technology
Principal responsibilities
- Participate in technical design of features with guidance.
- Take ownership and accountability for production incidents, in terms of timely communication, escalation and incident hygiene.
- Identify potential system improvements and explain their benefits.
- Support the establishment of a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data
- Continuously contribute to code, ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards including relevant Service Management Standard.
- Keep up-to-date and have an understanding of the specific impact of the functional delivery, the business context of change and how a delivery may impact other functional areas.
- Lead production incident reviews for the team.
- University degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline.
- Understanding and ability to apply Project Management discipline and portfolio management.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders
- Solid working experience in business or technical analysis
- Strong understanding of technology and its application, up to date with latest technology trends and ideas in the wider market.
- Experience in presenting to senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Can understand, build and present business cases.
- Strong communications skills in both written and verbal in English.
- Commercial acumen and good risk management and mitigation skills.
- Positive, proactive and can- do attitude.
