We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineering Manager.
Business: Wealth & Personal Banking IT
Principal responsibilities 

l  Act as Delivery Lead for Insurance Point-Of-Sales, and Policy Admin Platform for first focus, to work closely with business and various stakeholders, to deliver distribution core capability from Core development through Market Activation.

l  Secondary to join up with global on Insurance Sustainable Service Program management, to fulfill strategy need on technology evergreen.

l  Maintain close relationship with all IT stakeholders and provide support to the program activities across business and technology teams, own Insurance E2E POD and accountable for all deliverables.

l  Ensure high quality standard and on time delivery under Agile methodology.

l  Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement.

l  Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data.

l  Align with HSBC DevOps standard and provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change.

l  Manage programme strategy and the programme approach across a series of projects or component activities, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments, and changes.

l  Ensure Technology programmes align to HSBC strategies and contribute to towards achieving strategic aims.

l  Ensuring that all Technology practices and associated tools are being adopted and adhered to within the Programme

l  Manage programme budgets, including headcount and software delivery capitalization.

l  Manage the development and promotion of the technology portfolio and project management practices.

l  Work across business and technology to establish effective controls, procedures, and quality assurance processes for the product in line with the Business Transformation Framework and HSBC Risk and Controls framework.

l  Manage the reporting of progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization.

l  Establish management and administrative procedures and processes for own function or region, to ensure adherence to policies and manage operational risk, with due consideration to both HSBC and area or regional activities.

l  Provide input to strategic plans for function, business or region and will be expected to shape strategic objectives into operational plans.

l  SSP transformation in accordance with WPB SSP and achieve stated revenue vs scope.

l  Proactively manage and co-ordinate the programme roadmap, handling changes as they arise and keeping stakeholders focused on the agreed change outcomes.

l  Obtain buy in from senior management which includes budget, schedule, scope, risk mitigation, and contingency plans to remain 100% compliant.

l  Provide key inputs to WPB SSP team and report to the portfolio when the number of service remediation go off track.

l  Closely work with platform heads to ensure all agreed scope, budget and quality of delivery commitments are met.

l  AOP Planning baseline with scope and define delivery timelines which are not impacting the go live dates.

l  Continue closely tracking of all SSP projects risks/ issues and plan all-risk mitigation along with prioritization of service remediation based on obsolete dates.

Requisitos

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

l  15+ years' IT software engineering experience of software developments with Agile methodologies.

l  At least 10 years’ relevant experience in solution design area, experience with Enterprise Solution Design will be an advantage.

l  Strong communication skills in spoken and written English & Mandarin.

l  Knowledge in Insurance domain is essential.

l  Prefer with hands on experience on using MWS framework for application development.

l  Solid knowledge of cloud platform and the use of Docker, Kubernetes.

l  Solid experience on automated build, test automation, CI/CD tools to accelerate DevOps change in the team.

l  Solid skills of analytical and problem solving, able to drive independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.

l  Business knowledge in life insurance domain will be an advantage.

l  Experience on Full Stack, with hands on experience from front-end, API through backe-end will be a key to success to this role.

l  Excellent knowledge of their technical environment and will have significant responsibility in setting the way forward in the types of technology they look after. Forward thinking, making the right decisions based on strategy.
