We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer.

 

Business: Insurance

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Work as part of Insurance Technical HUB team with responsibility for solution rollout, including implementation of system enhancement, APIs and micro-services
  • Collaborate with Enterprise/Solution Architects, Business Analyst, Tech Leader to deliver high quality solution rollout, and provide professional consultancy/support timely for stakeholder’s queries/requests
  • Following HSBC/industry development best practices to perform system design, coding, unit testing and support system testing, production release
  • Ensure the technical design/code structure is technical coherent, future proof and compliance with technology standards and regulatory obligations
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver project following Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Providing warranty support in production for newly released changes
  • Adherence to SLAs & service delivery procedures defined by Agile framework 
Requisitos
  • A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Java 8, Spring, Restful Services, Spring Boot and micro-service.
  • Experience of both RDBMS & NoSQL databases technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis.
  • Familiar with Linux and well master the frequent used commands for daily work.
  • Experience of containerization, ideally using Docker / Kubernetes.
  • Experience on using DevOps tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Micro-Service, Restful API, Agile concepts.
  • Knowledge of life insurance domain will be an advantage.
  • Passive for elegance and efficiency in software engineering, and strive for continuous improvements.
  • Good command of written and spoken communication skills and fluent in English.
