We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineering Manager.

Principal responsibilities
- Take up the Life400 Delivery Manager role to drive the team to provide solution on Life400 and LifeAPI for HongKong markets.
- Maintain strong engagement and support model among off-shore IT teams, on-shore IT teams and business.
- Ensure effective communication, coordination and collaboration among internal and external IT as well as business partners.
- Identify, manage and resolve conflicts directly whilst maintaining good relationship with all related stakeholders.
- Avoid or mitigate any cyber risk or audit issue during IT project development and deployment, fully comply with the IT FIM and Insurance regulatory.
- Governance the project quality, effectiveness and efficiency by continuously improving the time to market, defect leakage, cost and resource utilization.
- Accountable for End-to-End solutions from project initiation, design, development and deployment.
- Fully adopt DevOps tooling for test and deployment automation in project team.
- Provide leadership of IT personnel for people-related matters / issues and resolve day-to-day HR issues.
- Implement and reinforce the best engineering practices to the project team.
- Encourage and support capability uplifting for Talents and IT specialists through internal and external training.
- Promote technology sharing and leverage operating environments to achieve greater cost efficiency.
• Minimum 9 years’ experience of software developments, preferably in an enterprise or a global environment.
• Excellent technical experience in AS400, CL, COBOL and DB2. SMART COBOL is more appreciated.
• Be familiar with MQ, CD/CE gateway, sFTP, R2DS, etc.
• Be familiar with Agile/DevOps approach and practices.
• Have capability to independently complete requirement analysis and solution design.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
• Be familiar with Insurance knowledge. Passed LOMA is more appreciated.
• Solid experience on automated build, test automation, CI/CD tooling to accelerate DevOps change in the team
• The passion and ability to lead/motivate and develop technologist, including mentoring and coaching.
• A highly-motivated individual with positive and proactive attitude. Open mindset and adapt to the change
• Good verbal communication skills in English, ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts and influence technical choices relating to business, development and architectural requirements.
• Confident to interact directly with people of different culture. (HK, Xi’An)
• Willing to travel with mobility on project base.
