We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist - API Governance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building APIs using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Kubernetes containers. This role requires a deep understanding of industry standards and security protocols, as well as the ability to apply API solutions effectively within banking applications.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Technical Specialist - API Governance reporting to Chief Architect Hang Seng. 

Principal responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and governance of API solutions to ensure alignment with industry standards and security requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API strategies and best practices for banking applications.
• Develop and maintain API documentation, including specifications, guidelines, and governance frameworks.
• Conduct assessments of existing API implementations to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on API architecture, design patterns, and integration strategies.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in API management, cloud computing, and security.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote API governance best practices across the organization.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on API initiatives.

• Experience in API development and governance, with a focus on cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS) and containerization (Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of industry standards and security protocols related to API management.
• Proven experience in applying API solutions within banking or financial institutions is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, API management, or security standards are a plus.
