We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a WPB and Retail Portfolio Lead, CS - Digital Business Services.

Principal Responsibilities

Real Estate Services focuses on ensuring that Real Estate (RE) is a key business enabler, through the adoption of innovative and forward-thinking initiatives relating to the portfolio which is duly supportive of the overarching Bank strategy across Portfolio & Workplace, Workforce Strategy, FM Solutions, Health & Safety, Retail Solutions, Sustainability, Critical Facilities and Risk Management. We are also responsible for oversight and the of enablement high-quality third-party supplier portfolio management, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and acquisition of relevant best in class practises & sharing of these across the HSBC Group.

Role purpose 

The role holder will support Hong Kong WPB and CMB Businesses in the development and implementation of their branch network initiatives and strategies. The role scope includes: 

  • Managing WPB and CMB Network RE related direct and indirect cost profile
  • Delivering an end-to-end network plan through innovative and forward-thinking RE initiatives
  • Overseeing RE services to WPB and CMB across the following:
    • Retail Network strategy planning and optimization 
    • Retail Estates & Transactions management 
    • Capital Projects Design and Delivery 
    • Facilities Management and Customer Experience 
    • Workplace occupancy planning
    • As well as alignment across Health and Safety and Governance and Planning
  • Engaging with a number of significant external suppliers as well as an internal team of property professionals
  • Engaging with Market business leadership to understand business processes and direction to ensure both WPB/CMB and RE strategies are designed to respond to significant changes in real estate and customer behaviour
  • Working with WPB and CMB to prioritise costs against P&L and order book aligns to the retail branch network strategy and RE cost parameters
  • Oversee branch network related RE risks are escalated and address in timely manner
  • Working with Global  Portfolio Strategy & Optimisation Function and PTE Leads to clearly define optimal branch footprint plans based on top down and market requirements
Requisitos
  • Functional Knowledge of managing all aspects of the Bank’s property portfolio. This remit includes the day to day operation and servicing of properties, acquiring, and disposing of property, the management of the costs associated with the portfolio, Health and Safety and Sustainability matters as well as management of capital projects
  • Ability to combine professional and technical skills with excellent communication and influencing skills, in order to manage and motivate both internal and external multi-disciplinary teams delivering against an aggressive agenda and challenging timescales
  • Experience working in dynamic environments with constantly changing priorities and complex requirements
  • A proactive nature, capable of identifying issues and initiating structured discussions with key stakeholders to mitigate those issues
  • Capable of engendering a true sense of urgency, pace, community and collaboration across customers, RE and suppliers focused on meeting critical milestones
