Business Managers provide administrative and management support to the local Business Management team and take primary responsibility for non-client related areas, with the aim to support the local team to take and implement decisions and request involvement from colleagues/RM’s as needed.

The aim of the Business Management Team is to standardize and streamline processes to be able to provide MI data to the head of the Business Service/Utility and respective Region to support sound business decisions and provide a base for a commercial dialogue. The role will also be responsible for managing multiple business management tasks to support the EMEA Region and ensure appropriate coordination of the required activities.
The purpose of the role is to support the CLM in EMEA region in delivering the 1st Line of Defence (1LOD) risk and control agenda.

What you’ll do
    • Ensure that robust risk governance exists and ensuring all stakeholders have visibility of key risks and remediation activity.
    • Monitor risk appetite in line with business requirements.
    • Facilitate controls remediation where required and raise awareness and understanding of risks, controls and risk management.
    • Continuously improve the control and monitoring of risks.
    • Act as the single point of contact to the Business Service/Utility/Region Head, representing the EMEA CLM Business Management and support local team with the provision of Non-Financial Objectives MI.
    • Lead and coordinate key meetings including preparing the agenda, scheduling the meetings and collecting materials for the meeting. Maintaining minutes and following up on any outstanding issues.
    • In collaboration with other departments ensure accurate and tailored financial reporting for Front Office teams.
    • Actively manage operational risks and escalation of any weaknesses detected.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • At least 5 years full-time experience in banking/financial.
    • Proven experience in Private Banking environment is a must.
    • At least 2 years of experience in Business Management role.
    • Must possess effective presentation and analytical skills.
    • Experience in cooperating with senior management within the Private Banking business.
    • High degree of integrity and maturity, and ability to keep confidential information safe.
    • Adept at financial analysis and able to prepare detailed and accurate performance commentary and presentations.
    • Experience in collating and preparing actionable operational papers for senior risk committees.
