       Services offered by Delivery & Strategy:

  • Governance, Insights & Standards: Oversee the Group DAO Strategy and the governance co-ordination for DAO
  • Data Change & Portfolio Management: Oversee the Change the Bank investment and execution.
  • Business Performance Management: Manage DAO’s financials and headcount.
  • Function Management: Manage the Data engagement and communications across the bank.
  • Data Risk & Controls Services: Oversee the Data controls.

The Opportunity:

  • Providing support to the Data Control Governance Senior Manager in relation to data controls governance tasks.
  • Facilitation and support of the Data Design Authority. Including but not limited to; creation of meeting materials, meeting administration and query management.
  • Management and maintenance of the Data Design Authority JIRA workflow tool. 
  • Management and maintenance of the internal DAO confluence site and other external facing information tools.  

What you’ll do:

Impact on the Business

  • Responsible for ensuring that a high level of governance is placed around the creation and maintenance of data controls.
  • Support the development and implementation of a robust data control governance framework
  • Keeping up to date with the latest industry standards and data regulations.
  • Support the remediation required from internal assurances reviews (e.g. 2LOD / 3LOD) or regulatory changes.
  • Manage and support the implementation of HSBC data governance and quality guidelines, procedures, methods etc.
  • Manage and support ensuring good practices in the management of data tools, standards, frameworks and templates.
  • Manage and support the management and monitoring of operational risk in the field of data management

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • 7 – 10 years of proven and progressive experience at a financial institution or comparable environment.
  • Experience in supporting, communicating with and providing assistance to senior managers in a multinational organisation with proven ability to demonstrate integrity and judgment in handling sensitive matters.
  • Proficiency in MS office suite with expertise in Outlook/Teams/Excel/ PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to work and communicate with senior management to understand the pressures, challenges and demands on a given function and create solutions to address those items.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and respond to changing and varied demands. Recognise and act upon timely escalation of issues.
  • Demonstrate professionalism at all times and be resilient when working under pressure.
