• The Global Finance Change delivery team drives change, design and delivery, working closely with Regulatory Reporting, technology and business teams.
• We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Full Stack Developer with expertise in Python, VBA and SQL. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and developing applications that seamlessly integrate these technologies. The primary focus will be on creating a user-friendly application with a keen understanding of Agile methodology and the ability to work effectively under aggressive project timelines. Day to day execution of key project deliverables, feeding into Clarity management of tasks, risks, issues and dependencies.

Role Dimensions

• The role holder will work with a large Global Finance team that delivers complex and transformational regulatory change.
• The role will require co-ordination and supporting of teams / activities across multiple global regions.

Application Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Python applications, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Utilize framework such as Pyspark to build scalable and efficient applications.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software.

Data Management and Analysis:

• Utilize Python libraries for data manipulation and analysis, including Pandas, Numpy, and others.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL for data storage and management.

Integration and Automation:

• Integrate third-party APIs and data sources into existing systems.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve workflow efficiency and data accuracy.
• Leverage the Model Execution Platform (MEP) to execute and manage models efficiently.

Version Control and Collaboration:

• Use GIT for version control to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain a high standard of code quality.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical support.

Testing and Debugging:

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of code to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Implement unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.

Production and UAT Support:

• Provide comprehensive production and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support, ensuring smooth deployment and operations of applications.

SAS (Good to Have):

• Utilize SAS for statistical analysis and data manipulation as needed.
• Integrate SAS with Python-based solution to enhance data processing capabilities.

Project Management:

• Manage and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet aggressive project timelines.
• Proactively identify potential roadblocks and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and accomplishments effectively to the project team.

Self-Motivation and Results Orientation:

• Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and initiative to drive projects forward.
• Set and achieve ambitious goals, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with proficiency in VBA, Python, and SQL.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality software within aggressive timelines.
