This will be achieved by:
  • Enforcing robust standards for our risk and control assessments and providing feedback to NFR role holders when deficiencies are identified so that remediation activity is undertaken.
  • Supporting Control Owners by conducting high quality and efficient reviews of our control design and performance.
  • Leading ‘deep dives’ and read across activities so sustainable mitigants and control improvements can be identified.   
  • Drive a positive risk culture, raising awareness and understanding of risks, controls, and risk management.
  • Continuously improving the control and monitoring of risk.

The Opportunity:

  • This position sits within the WPB NFR Reporting & Analytics, which provides qualitative and quantitative management information (MI) covering all lines of businesses across the world. Lead & Manage the delivery of On-going process, key reports/ dashboards within the agreed timelines and with 100% quality. To develop and successfully manage and lead variety of projects which could be offshoring related or new report/ dashboard development. Improve and streamline existing report production processes. Be an individual contributor engaging with senior stakeholders across regions/ LoBs and ensure that their expectations are continuously met and the team is able to add value to their day to day operations. Is expected to use judgment and expertise in evaluating complex and competing requests. Typical deliverables doing Impact Assessments, creating project plans, understanding business requirements, propose solutions, develop/ lead project teams to deliver as per the requirements. Implement effective controls and ensure adherence to procedures & other business specific regulations. Develop various tools using technology to support analytics and analytical reporting. – R/Python, Qliksense, SQL and more importantly ability to learn and adapt new technology with changing times

What you’ll do:

Role holder responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Work as part of a team to design, develop and deliver reports, dashboards and analysis to WPB NFR team
  • Key focus will be to use the latest Data Visualisation techniques for reports/ dashboards/ packs
  • Develop a significant understanding of the client’s objectives, process, procedures and systems to better understand needs and offer additional suggestions or alternatives to assist in obtaining MI.
  • Provide consultative advice to internal customers on reporting approach, system development and technical support.
  • Rationalise the current state of reporting: understand needs and status quo, remove redundancies or introduce existing reports to new audiences. As new requests arise, identify existing MI that can be leveraged to satisfy the customer needs.
  • Analyse problems in terms of process and/or system functionality and apply analytical and quantitative techniques to formulate, describe, communicate, and coordinate implementation of recommended solutions.
  • Drive the design of production processes that are sustainable, efficient and effective ensuring that all activities supporting the project, e.g. data transformations are transferred to Production teams at end of the project
  • Recommend changes and follow through with communication, persuasion, specification and implementation.
  • Where appropriate manage the delivery of data from source systems and manual software solutions to ensure adherence to data production timescales

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • A Masters/ Bachelor’s degree preferable in IT/ Computer Science/ Finance or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical counterparts; being able to translate between two worlds
  • Strong Analytical skills with ability to grasp new concepts quickly and evolve tech changes
  • Knowledge on scripting and querying languages, proven ability to distil complex and varied data into information
  • R/Python, Qliksense, Advanced Excel, SQL
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Reporting solutions.

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Knowledge on related roles such as audit, risk management and sales process
  • Previous experience in data and analytics
  • The ability to understand and write VBA code
  • Good knowledge of NFR Framework
  • Previous experience working on improving process and procedure
