- The Group Transformation Centre (GTC) – IWPB, sits within our Global Service Centre (GSC). It works with Global Businesses and Functions, to accelerate, orchestrate and deliver change outcomes that help HSBC achieve its strategic priorities. The team manages projects globally across the bank using best-in-class execution skills and delivers at pace to achieve the desired business outcomes on large, complex and cross-function projects. The team utilises a design-led approach and Agile Methodology to drive change and translate business intent into clearly defined outcomes. GTC delivers cost effective, flexible and outcome focused transformation through:
- Robust business analysis - working with the business to conceptualise solutions/operating models- Change adoption activities to seamlessly embed change and drive benefit realisation
- Program and project management to drive momentum and deliver strategic changes, ensuring quality and pace
The Opportunity:
- Global Transformation Project Managers plan, mobilise and direct projects of medium to high complexity and scale, from definition to closure. They are typically responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a single project or workstream of a larger project or program, proactively balancing scope, schedule, budget, risks, outcomes and benefits. They are responsible for deploying the change frameworks and Agile methodologies within their project. They work closely with Program Managers, Senior Project Managers and Global PMO to ensure alignment of their project with the wider change portfolio and the Group Strategy, Values and Behaviours. Project Managers, at times, may provide oversight and guidance to multiple initiatives within a priority market.
What you’ll do:
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Delivery: Drive delivery excellence by planning around constraints, optimising benefits, and minimizing risks. Ensure alignment to project scope, timelines, budget, and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex transformation programmes across countries and regions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-geographical teams to deliver impactful outcomes.
- Manage large-scale projects with strong governance, approvals, and risk management frameworks.
- Provide strategic recommendations through problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making.
- Drive digital journeys such as mobile applications or website development initiatives.
- Champion change adoption and contribute to organisational growth through innovative solutions.
- Engage stakeholders using a consultative approach, ensuring alignment and clarity of purpose.
- Ensure timely delivery using Agile/Scrum methodologies and other project delivery frameworks.
- Foster teamwork, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Soft Skills:

Hard Skills:
- Deep understanding of project lifecycle and change adoption.
- Knowledge of Clarity/JIRA/RMS Project tools.
- Experience in Business Transformation frameworks and best practices.
- Banking domain knowledge in Retail, Commercial Banking, Risk, Compliance, or Payments.
- Experience in mobile/web application development and digital transformation.
- Ability to assess business impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
- Practical Agile/Scrum delivery experience.

- Overall experience of 6+ years or more

What additional skills will be good to have?
- HSBC Change Framework, Group Tools such as Clarity / Jira / Confluence / GPDM
- Relevant industry certification preferred PMP/P3O/MSP/MOP
- Digital Transformation
- Certification in Agile.
- PMP certification or training
- Design Thinking
