We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering

Deppartment - Enterprise Technology 

In this role, you will:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Python developers and cloud engineers.

• Architect, design, and implement robust, scalable, and secure solutions on AWS.

• Oversee the development and deployment of serverless applications (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Postgres, S3).

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to best practices.

• Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and methodologies.

• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and team performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to AWS infrastructure and Python applications.

• Stay updated with the latest AWS services, features, and industry trends.

• Initiate and lead department wide engineering excellence activities that would help in improving efficiencies and reduce costs for the bank.

• Lead bank’s innovation to align with organisational priorities.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

• 12+ years of professional experience in Python development.

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.).

• Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams.

• Strong understanding of serverless architectures and microservices.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) is a plus.

• Should have worked in fast paced agile teams.

• Good communication skills to clearly communicate, demonstrate the technical details to non-technical stake holders.

• Collaborative skills to collaborate with internal and external team members and teams.

• Attention to detail and adaptability to changing environments.
