We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Programme and Project Services Manager.

Who we are:

An Associate Programme and Project Services Manager in Digital Business Services (DBS) Transformation Services is part of Project Management Office (PMO), supporting the change initiatives within the Portfolio.

The activities are centralized around the Portfolio/Programme Governance, assurance, resource and work planning & control, budget management, benefit management and change management. This role will act as a source of guidance and provide governance and metrics to the global change initiatives and in supporting the delivery leaders for making strategic decisions. This role helps initiatives adhere to the HSBC Change Framework, using the standard project management tools aligned to the group’s Strategic Tooling Spine such as Clarity and JIRA.

Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Gurgaon / Pune

In this role, you will:

  • Support schedule/plan management, identify, and monitor internal/external dependencies and milestones for successful delivery of Portfolio/Programme outcomes in line with agreed delivery plans.
  • Design and maintain delivery dashboards for insightful visualisation of flow of project plan, key milestones, dependencies to support decision-making.
  • Support and co-ordinate monthly Governance meetings and prepare materials for key Programme/ Project level meetings.
  • Support portfolio investment allocations, benefit projections & a holistic view of the financial performance and ensure those are in line with defined Portfolio strategy, customers & business outcomes managing Portfolio/Programme resource capacity.
  • Report on financial guardrails, ensure controls are in place and variances are tracked.
  • Support in facilitating adherence to Change control around the business case commitments (funding, outcomes, and value delivered) and ensure Business cases are impact assessed and approved in line with agreed tolerances.
  • Support management of portfolio/programme risks and issues through appropriate tracking and involving key members of the transformation team as needed.
  • Support portfolio control monitoring activities that monitor quality and adherence to the standards, ensuring compliance to HSBC Change Framework, HSBC Functional Instruction Manuals, SAFE, AGILE etc.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Critical Thinking by bringing structure and order to undefined and/ or large-scale problems to solve them systematically, logically, and independently.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills along with effective inter-personal and negotiation skills.
  • Stakeholder management skills with a consultative approach to engaging with internal clients.
  • Knowledge of industry standards in Project, Programme, Portfolio management (Waterfall and Agile).
  • Understanding of Billing process, Cost Allocation Methodology, Cost recharges, Annual Operating/ Investment Plan, Management & reporting (Investments + Benefits) including Group Planning Data Model Hierarchy.
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), PPM Tools, HSBC Change Framework, Group Tools such as Clarity / Jira / Confluence / GPDM and other collaboration tools.
  • PMP or any equivalent certification would be an added advantage.
