The Role
As an Associate Portfolio Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day banking and service needs of a portfolio of clients in the technology and life sciences sectors. You won’t manage debt structuring, but you’ll play a key role in onboarding, account servicing, regulatory compliance, and relationship development across a broad mix of early-stage and established businesses.
The team you’ll work with
You’ll be part of the UK Relationship Banking team, working closely with Relationship Managers and product specialists. The team supports clients across the UK and Europe and has strong links with investors, advisers, and internal functions such as risk, compliance, and operations.
The value you will add
You’ll be a key point of contact for clients, helping them navigate banking products and services, manage account changes, and meet compliance requirements. You’ll lead on onboarding, KYC reviews, low/medium-risk assessments, and support internal projects and process improvements. You’ll also contribute to team development by supporting more junior colleagues.
The experience you will need
Background in business or commercial banking, or a related client-facing role
Knowledge of KYC, AML, and regulatory obligations
Understanding of banking products including accounts, payments, and cash management
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Experience with high-growth or tech-focused clients is an advantage
