The Opportunity:

  • MSS Operations is executing against the 2025 strategy, known as Project Rubix. Within Rubix the Fund Services Programme aims to transform the operating model for Fund Services across regions and fund types.
  • There is an opportunity for an experienced Business analyst to join the team to support the delivery of a set of projects within the Rubix Programme.
  • The role supports a variety of different businesses covering Markets and Securities Services, with a specific focus on Fund Services but expanding to other asset classes in the outer years of the Programme. This leads to a complex and challenging change agenda, particularly with regards to implementation across a multitude of products and processes.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the planning and execution of Rubix Fund Services projects and other change initiatives to ensure a successful delivery and realization of committed benefits.
  • Partner with stakeholders in Operations, Product, and IT on the identification of opportunities and solutions, which align to the Operations vision and Product roadmap to deliver both operational efficiencies and improve the client experience.
  • Identify, review and analyse business processes and systems to understand design implications across Business, IT and Operations
  • Demonstrate strong requirements gathering expertise through usage of techniques such as process modelling, use cases, and documenting business requirements to ensure completeness, relevance, and accuracy.
  • Support reengineering of processes, where process is one of the many parts of the change, and provide detailed guidance on process design (considering risk, end-to-end and cost)
  • Support with impact assessment for change requests on design, scope, time, budget or effort on programme plan and provide accurate estimates for handling new requirements, design changes and scope
  • Manage, identify, and escalate risks and issues relating to the delivery of the individual projects, taking proactive action to mitigate then and don’t impede Programme delivery.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Strong awareness of the factors which might lead to financial loss and those mitigating controls to prevent such losses.
  • Strong awareness of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • Understands, follows, and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
