We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Data Architect.
In this role, you will:
• Define data architecture standards: Deliver and maintain conceptual and logical data models, architecture artefacts, and reference standards that align to enterprise frameworks and meet business needs.
• Lead governance and controls: Champion trusted data sources, glossary and metadata definitions, and compliance with governance standards such as DUSE and DRA through formal forums and design authorities.
• Support delivery and solution design: Guide delivery teams and solution architects, providing expertise on Procurement data design and ensuring alignment to approved models and controls.
• Promote data-driven culture: Communicate the value of good data design and governance, enabling stakeholders to adopt data-led practices and connect to the wider data strategy.
• Innovate and adopt tools and techniques: Introduce and embed relevant modelling tools, including Visual Paradigm, and best practices for conceptual data design, modelling, and governance.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Conceptual and logical data design: Proven ability to create and maintain conceptual and logical data models in complex, regulated environments, with strong knowledge of modelling techniques and standards.
• Data modelling expertise: Hands-on experience in data modelling for enterprise-level solutions, ensuring models align to business requirements, trusted sources, and governance frameworks.
• Proficiency with Visual Paradigm: Practical experience using Visual Paradigm to produce, communicate, and govern data models as part of architecture artefacts.
• Governance and control mindset: Understanding of data governance principles, glossary and metadata management, and governance frameworks such as DUSE, DRA, and BIAN.
• Stakeholder engagement and communication: Excellent skills in presenting and explaining complex data designs and governance concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and influencing decisions through clear communication.
