We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

 

In this role, you will:

•    Directly report to Head of Business management to focus on strategic delivery of GPB China and managing the delivery of regional and global GPB strategies to create a differentiated onshore private banking proposition in China. Implement and execute key projects and initiatives related with strategy, financial planning and business risk management. 
•    Strengthen risk management by ensuring adequate supervision of day-to-day business conduct and activity of frontline teams, adhering to internal requirement, procedure and regulatory requirement. This role is instrumental in fostering compliant business activities and guiding risk-informed decision-making process with support of management team or other stakeholders. 
•    Work closely with frontline teams and other functions on issue resolution and feedback coordination to improve efficiency.  
•    Collaborate with frontline teams and other functions to continually enhance operational process and refine business operation.
•    Provide guidance and advice to frontline teams of the internal process, compliance and regulatory-related matters. 
•    Handle complex matters or challenges by identifying problems and collaborating with stakeholders to find efficient solutions. 
•    Foster a strong risk culture and conduct awareness of frontline with relevant training, market intelligence, and knowledge sharing. 
•    Facilitate internal communication including staff engagement activities within GPB, drive process improvement, and organization simplifications, empowerment, and customer experience upgrade. 

Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

 

•    Seasoned Business Manager with experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management.
•    Candidate with experience in business risk management or first line defense is a plus.
•    Minimum of 10 years' experience in private banking or financial markets.
•    Bachelor degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
•    Strong understanding of investment products, relevant regulatory rules and requirements.
•    Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision making practices. 
•    Demonstrate effective presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
•    Proficient in Mandarin and English.
