We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Chief Executive, Hang Seng Investment Management Limited, reporting to Head of Retail Banking and Wealth. 

Principal responsibilities

  • As the Chief Executive of “Hang Seng Investment Management Limited (HSVM)”, a leading asset management company in Hong Kong, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank Limited (“the Bank”), the job holder reports to Head of Retail Banking & Wealth of the Bank.
     
  • Drive HSVM’s market leadership in Exchange Traded Funds (ETF), Asset Management Wholesales and Partnerships, and Institutional business; maximse profit generated for the Bank.
     
  • Formulate business strategies and drive business plans for manufacturing function of investment funds, asset management services and other structured products.
     
  • Ensure the competitiveness of our investment service offering to grow wealth management business for our retail and wholesale clients against different investment climate.
     
  • Strengthen HSVM’s competitive edge in Hong Kong and GBA through innovative product launch.
     
  • Monitor investment market and product performance to safeguard the interest of the Bank and customers.
     
  • Ensure compliant culture and all control measures are undertaken to minimise the risk exposure. Manage operational risk.
Requirements
  • Seasoned business leader with relevant management experience in asset management company, preferably exposure across different geographic markets.
     
  • License holders in Type 1, 4, 5, 6 and 9 as required by Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). 
     
  • Strong technical knowledge of investment management products and industry review.
     
  • Highly effective navigation within the eco-system, advanced governance standard and fast-changing regulatory context with agile ways of working.
     
  • Strong engagement with different levels of internal and external stakeholders.
     
  • Change leadership and strategic focus with strong growth mindset and passion to champion change and promote innovation.  
     
  • Strong customer centricity focuses to deliver market-leading products, services, digitalisation and experience to targeted customers.  
     
  • Strong track record in orchestrating and leading strategy development, business planning and implementations across multiple business and functional stakeholders to successful completion.
     
  • Seasoned people leadership to engage, motivate and develop a diverse team; drive strong performance culture with clear aligned direction; build talent pipeline and business bench strength.
     
  • Strong outcomes focus with adaptability, sound judgement and business insights in decision making, and accountability in delivery.   
     
  • University degree in a related discipline or other relevant qualifications.
     
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
