Wholesale Technology is part of Digital Business Services (previously called HOST). Wholesale Technology Digital faces off to Commercial Banking.

Wholesale Technology Digital is a major Service Line reporting into Wholesale Technology, but servicing the Commercial Bank. Digital (sometimes called Wholesale Technology IT) is the electronic front door for HSBC’s commercial customers, and the Digital team is responsible for developing, building, and improving on the digital banking platforms that our customers use. Large commercial and global banking customers use HSBCnet and Connect to transact, while small to medium-sized commercial customers use Digital Banking platforms (DBB) and emerging solutions such as Kinetic and Quantum.

The Opportunity:

Consultant specialist to lead, consult SIT automation and improve efficiency on test delivery, before handing over to business acceptance test (BAT) stage.

What you’ll do:

  • Carry out detailed requirements analysis on sprint scope, test strategy selection and automation preparation.
  • Design, Lead team to implement re-usable testing automation in sprint under quality standards.
  • Work with test members on sprint/release regression test with high  automation coverage.
  • Innovate usage and performance of existent automation code.
  • Coordinate with diff role stakeholders and drive for issues resolution.
  • Cooperate with global test team on automation design, task plan, status reporting.
  • Foresee, Identify potential risks and monitor mitigation plan execution in project testing.
  • Participate to research and development in the new technical methodologies in automating manual testing.
  • Provide consultant to other  test teams on automation architecture and work  efficiency optimization.
  • Hold knowledge share activities and keep uplift test capability in test teams of whole CMB digital product line.
  • Responsible for adherence to relevant organizational processes.
Requirements
  • Master degree is best to have, Bachelor is must.
  • A minimum of 10 years' IT industry experience with significant testing knowledge, especially functional website testing.
  • A minimum of 6 year's experiences on automation testing with strong technical knowledge on test automation architecture and BDD related toolkits, e.g. Java, Web driver, Appium, Rest service, jMeter, Python, Jenkins, etc.
  • Rich experience on all-in-one test team management, especially: Function test, Automation test,  Security test, Performance test, API test, User experience test.
  • Strong understanding on in-sprint automation and agile development methodology.
  • Fluent communication skills in spoken and listen English to  communicate with UK  and IN people.
  • Convincing capability to cooperate with different roles in  global locations.
  • A highly-motivated individual with positive and pro-active attitude.
  • Be able to  work under pressure to complete project in  tight schedule and cost effective way.
  • Be aggressive.

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Testing development working experience on complicated SAAS application or banking application.
  • Unique understanding to test driven development, business driven development, etc.
  • Working in a global team with different cultures and could handle daily work in  multiple threads.
  • Hand-on project experience on CI/CD and bi-weekly pace release.
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Passionate and career driven.
  • Delivery job nature.
  • Team player.
  • All CS and above candidates need have good English.
