We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Corporate Trust Officer.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • To support Common Depository and Corporate Trust functions
  • Effective daily management of the related physical global notes maintaining and implementing controls in line with the FIM, client agreements and local regulations
  • Deposit, withdrawal and return of global notes in/out of the vault and to our clients, driving improvements in the current vault management process and control environment and be an advocate and role model for driving and executing process improvements and standards of excellence
  • Work closely with teams regarding day-to-day activities in relation to Bond closings and ongoing servicing including new issuances, coupon payments, redemption payments and corporate action events, including global notes authentication
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and ICSD initiatives that may impact Operations to ensure procedures and systems remain current
  • Establish and maintain relationships with peer contacts in other regions to ensure alignment and consistency on best practices and liaison with stakeholders including ICSDs, Issuers, Agents, internal Client Service Managers and Transaction Managers; ensure the services provided meet the requirements of internal and external clients
  • Understand the Operations workflow and maintain adequate records in all required systems and continuously look to improve our service delivery and work closely with ops teams in sites to achieve this
  • Support change initiatives and encourage teams to challenge processes and procedures and support and coverage for Corporate Trust Operations lead 
Requirements

To be successful you will need:

  • Strong relevant operational knowledge and experience in any of the Corporate Trust related products/roles e.g. conventional debt, custody, corporate actions, common depositary or vault management background
  • Experience of International Capital markets and ICSD requirements is a strong advantage
  • Strong operational risk and control mindset identifying and resolving control gaps with effective escalation management
  • Ability to work in a pressurized environment, manage priorities effectively and achieve high standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder management
  • Experience of working with split location teams/outsourcing responsibilities
  • Mandarin/Cantonese language skills preferred but not essential
