We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Country Head of Business Banking Sales, CMB GPS.  

Responsibilities 

  • Work in close partnership with Commercial Banking Coverage and the wider Global Payment Solutions sales teams to identify and develop business opportunities, jointly formulate client engagement strategy to deepen the HSBC global payment solutions wallet share in Hong Kong and regionally across Asia Pacific 
  • Adopt a needs based advisory approach to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate cash management solutions that meet those requirements 
  • Effectively coordinate and collaborate with the HSBC team across markets and functions to develop appropriate solutions, deliver sales proposals 
  • Feedback to the Global Payment Solutions Product teams on the competitive market landscape and client specific requirements, to help drive product enhancements and developments as appropriate 
  • Formulate, support and drive Business Banking & Global Payment Solutions strategies for HK, including participation in events, case study article writing, client testimonials, client planning, wallet sizing activities and growth plan for portfolio customers 
  • Proactively collaborate with multi stakeholders from Business Banking Coverage side as well as GPS functional partners to develop a business strategy that is coordinated with Commercial Banking and prioritised according to opportunity and value to HSBC Group 
  • Delivery the financial and non-financial target assigned 
  • Work closely with the GPS Implementation, Integration and Client Service teams to ensure smooth transition of client mandate into realised revenues, as well as to provide ongoing coverage in response to clients’ evolving challenges and requirements 
  • Advise relationship management teams on updates of market trends, competitors landscape, regulatory changes etc. to help respond to emerging customer needs and opportunities 
  • Maintain comprehensive sales record in a timely manner to allow tracking of sales performance and sales quality
Requirements

Requirements 

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Administration, or relevant disciplines 
  • Knowledge in Cash Management or Transaction Banking products 
  • Ability to operate on a cross regional and cross functional basis with strong experience for China outbound market opportunities 
  • Highly motivated and achievement driven with an ability to formulate and articulate sales strategies 
  • Ability to cope with pressure in a fast growing and fast moving environment  
  • Proven ability to multi task and manage multiple high priority and high profile projects 
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills 
  • Fluency in written and verbal English with Cantonese, Mandarin or other language speaking will be a plus
