We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Data and Analytics Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

The ideal applicant will be a proactive and skilled data and analytics manager who can drive the successful implementation and adoption of data tools while ensuring alignment with Business objectives. Responsibilities

  • Tool and Data Asset Implementation
    • Lead the roll out of strategic technical tools for the analytics and data science community across CIB
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new tools or enhancements to existing tools, ensuring alignment with business needs
    • Ensure all requirements are submitted into the correct IT forums for build
  • Project Management
    • Manage projects related to tooling, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery
    • Investigate issues related to storage space and coordinate the housekeeping of SAS disk storage
    • Support the SAS demise programme by ensuring timelines are met for moving users to new tooling
  • User Support and Training
    • Facilitate and support the onboarding process for users of the strategic data analytics platform
    • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective adoption and utilization of tools (On-prem, Cloud, Data Virtualisation, Etc.)
      • Support ongoing communities using the tool to optimize use
    • Technical Expertise and Guidance
      • Provide technical guidance and leadership to stakeholders, ensuring best practices in data and tooling usage and system integration
      • Provide technical expertise as the subject matter expert on Cloud and other tooling as necessary
    • Community Engagement and Issue Resolution
      • Oversee the Data Science Workbench community Teams group, fostering communication and collaboration
      • Identify and resolve user issues, and work with DSW IT to implement system enhancements
    • Strategic Planning and Research
      • Support any preparation of management decks and presentation material on data and tooling
      • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to tooling and automation and conduct research when needed
    Requirements
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in database management, portfolio management, risk analytics, and data management
    • Technical Proficiency: Essential knowledge of Unix/Linux, Python, Spark, SQL, GitHub, SAS, and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience in Financial Services: Experience in large-scale tooling implementation is a plus
    • Strategic Development: Proven ability to develop and execute business unit or departmental strategies
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to liaise with and influence diverse stakeholders
