We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Director, Management Office, HACN.

Report to HACN CFO. 

Work closely with HASE Chief of Staff (COS) Office.

Principal responsibilities

·        Director, Management Office leads for HACN CE the following areas

o    Strategic Plan - development and programme management of HACN Strategic Plan and mobilization of GB/GF to execute the Plan

o    CE Office - management of HACN CE’s key stakeholder (including HACN BoD, HASE, HSBC Group) and external engagements

o    Business Management – oversight and governance of performance of GBs and GFs

·       Strategic Plan

o  Formulate the HACN’s medium term strategies, support execution, coordination, tracking and evaluation according to the Bank’s strategic planning framework

o   lead articulation and mobilization to achieve strategic priorities

o  lead strategic business studies that are cross-Businesses, Functions and/or geographies in nature, derive actionable insights and make appropriate recommendations to the Bank’s senior management

o    drive GB/GF’s execution of HACN-HASE connectivity, common customer acquisition and servicing to HASE and HASE clients and businesses

·       CE Office

o    Support key activities of HACN CE including but not limited to CE scorecard, governance papers, strategy reports and presentation materials for external and internal meetings

o    relationship management with key internal, external and industry bodies

o    liaise with and direct HACN CE’s directions and demands to HACN EXCO members for execution

o    ensure proper and smooth governance and engagement with HASE and HSBC as per engagement model

o    support HASE COS to develop, execute and mobilize all mainland China and cross boundary related strategic, corporate development, HASE COS Office, business development and partnership initiatives

·       Business Management

o    Monitor performance of Global Business against Strategic Plan and FRP

o    advocate and moderate cross-business collaborations; exploit synergies in accordance with HACN and HASE strategic priorities 

·       Special Project Leadership and Management

o    Design and develop projects, lead execution on behalf of HACN CE, and be accountable for results, topics include Conduct and Culture programme, corporate sustainability and cost savings programme

o    Lead engagement with and secure support from external stakeholders including regulators and policymakers on behalf of HACN CE to ensure project execution

·       Build, lead and develop teams;  Coach and mentor team members;  Uphold team members values and behaviors

·       Lead various department administrative and internal control responsibilities as per Group and Bank’s requirements

Requirements

       University degree with good knowledge in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline;

       Over fifteen years of corporate strategy, strategy consulting, corporate development and Chief of Staff in financial services

       Excellent generalist problem-solving skills with strong conceptual, highly structured and analytical capabilities to deal with ambiguities

       Excellent project leadership skill with a track record in leading and mobilizing cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities

       Excellent written communication, oral presentation and interpersonal skills;  Excellent ability to articulate conceptual ideas and strategic directives to a wide range of audience and in particular c-suite executives

       Deep knowledge of banking business models, organization and operations; exposure to Mainland China business, transactional banking, wealth management, RMB and cross-border business, strategic partnership

       Committed, self-motivated and action-oriented personality with strong ownership to drive business performance and the success of strategy development and implementation; Ability to build a trusted-advisor relationship with working partners and senior executives

       Strong leadership experience in building teams, developing talents and instilling right values and culture

       Well-versed in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint; experience in modelling an asset

       Proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin

       Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
